Arenas have been a passion of DSB’s for over a decade when we were first were developing a geothermal heat pump that could deliver chilled water in any climate.
We are proud of the technologies we bring to the Arena industry which include; custom DDC ice controls, complete geothermal refrigeration systems, custom HDPE headers and piping fused for a 100% guaranteed leak-proof system, LED Lighting Systems and upgrades, Geothermal and Thermal Energy Storage Dehumidification systems, Hybrid refrigeration systems, Dasher Boards and Glass and Custom Lexicon Locker Room linings.
Ice Rink Floors
DSB’s custom designed Ice Arena Floor packages ensure; optimized flow, 100% garanteed leak proof (for the life of the system), true flatness in both Sand and Concrete floors. Built to NHL specifications for a price not to be beat.
HDPE Fused Headers
All DSB Headers and floor piping are socket fused at 510 degrees. Where possible in the circuit runs we use state of the art microwave fusion for a perfect joint everytime.
We will design, build and install your header and piping system from start to finish or we will build to your specification.
Low E Ceilings
As experts in energy conservation, DSB highly recommends the benefits of a LOW E ceiling installation. We use our custom configuration to ensure that the product we install minimizes heat transfer to the ice surface.
Bottom line LOW E insulation is simply a poor quality heat transfer material and by design it only allows 3% of any radiant heat value to pass through to the ice surface.

LED Lighting Upgrade
Lighting upgrades are known as the low hanging fruit in the energy industry, because they are quick, easy and generate a reasonible return on your investment. LED’s have been less than attractive, but with falling prices and governemetn incentives, there has never been a better time to upgrade to a light that will last you between 10 and 20 years without loss of light.
DSB programs and fixtures are custom applications based on a photometric analysis.
