What does that mean? Simply put, some would say 700% efficient. How is that possible?
For every dollar you spend in energy you receive a percentage back in efficiency. If you have a 96% efficient chiller system, the best in the world, the most you can hope for is a .96 energy units for every dollar you spend. But with geothermal, using the efficiency of the earth loop as your refrigeration and heating coils and storage, for every dollar you spend you can obtain up to 7 energy units..
Heat recovery and use is where you are able to gain the efficiency of any refrigeration system. You spend thousands of dollars pulling heat from the slab or sand floor to make ice and most systems exhaust the heat or express it to a cooling tower. This is the magic in geothermal, we pull the heat, circulate and store it in the ground loops and sa series of tanks designed in the system as thermal energy storage and then apply it in as many locations as possible, which include: Zamboni flood water preheat to 120 degrees, Domestic hot water to 160 degrees, Comfort heat, Radiant heat snow melt pit (patent pending) dehumidification, ice shed area, comfort heat, bleacher heating, dehumidification preheat etc.
